During important meetings with government officials, the President of Ukraine honored the units and servicemen of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

"I agreed on further steps for the development of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and, accordingly, the border troops.

I am proud of every Ukrainian man and woman who serves in the border troops and protects the interests of our state, our national independence. We will increase the number of border troops - both in view of the current tasks of protection against russian aggression, and with a view to the long-term protection of the borders of our state after this war," Volodymyr Zelenskyi said.

"In addition, today I want to recognize the units and soldiers of the border forces who have shown themselves especially these weeks and months. In particular, border guards of Sumy border guard detachment, who oppose russian saboteurs and strengthen our defensive positions on the border. To all of you, warriors, thank you! Sergeants Artem Pedora and Oleksandr Poroskun deserve special thanks. Chernihiv border guard detachment: master sergeant Serhii Khomenko, senior sergeant Serhii Shvets. Thank you! Kharkiv border guard detachment: senior soldier Valekh Zarbaliiev and chief sergeant Andrii Syzonov. Thanks, warriors, for destroying russian equipment and mines clearance! Of course, grateful to all who are fighting at the front with all units of our Defense Forces. Soldiers of the rapid response border command of Volyn border guard detachment, the "Revenge" and "Steel Border" brigades, as well as soldiers of the special unit “DOZOR”. All well done," the President of Ukraine emphasized.
